Step Five: Secondary Throttle Opening. One of the most overlooked carburetor issues has to do with the secondary throttle opening. If the secondary throttle opens to soon, the engine is more likely to bog. Open the secondaries too late, and you are missing the true performance potential of your carb and engine.
