Even if you could do the complete engine swap from the v6 for 10k that is 1/4 the price of a marked down SRT8. 12k sound right for a factory new 5.7 with mds and computer. Then another 4k for the tranny, unlikely that the rear axle is the same in the v6 vs. the 5.7 so there's another 2k. A 3S-GE swap with a turbo kit is a total waste of time unless you're building a show car like Oscar did. A 2ZZ-GE swap with turbo kit is totally asinine. A 3S-GTE swap is better than both of those, but is going to cost you $$ with the end result being a car that has a hell of a lot of lag in comparison to the stock motor turboed.
