The trigger guard of the Kimber is higher, and allows more room for fingers, as well as a higher overall grip to minimise flip up. I had problems working the safety on the EMP.I have old arthritic hands and I kept thinking that was the problem. I have A Kimber 45 that I shoot just fine. So I went and bought A Ultra Carry and I shoot this gun just fine. No problems with the safety issue.
