WotR>Deadfire>Solasta, imo. From a story perspective, I feel like deadfire doesn't even hold a candle to wotr. Deadfire story builds itself as something great and epic, but it slowly drip feeds you and then abruptly ends. Wotr, meanwhile, is amazing from beginning to end. i went for a different pick for survival monk: Dwarf. since you need con for the 11th level feature, +2 really helps. for sub race, either snow or hill will work. Snow gets +1 dex, and the heavy crossbow proficiency is nice for a back up option at longer ranges. Hill gets +1 wis, and the extra hp per level is nice and builds into the theme. I played Solasta before either Kingmaker or WOTR and those classes were super easy to understand compared to the massive amount of choice you have in Pathfinder.
