There is pretty good distance between the towers, restaurants, parking lot etc. We stayed in one of the non-refurbished rooms in the Ocean Tower. We are staying at the Hilton Waikoloa Village with family fun package & 2 free adult buffet. I just checked the buffet cost, and they are $35 adult (13 and over) and $15 for kids. We are traveling with 13 and 11 year old, so this means it will still cost us $50 every day! Their a la carte menu items are very expensive too.Hapuna Beach makes many "Top Beaches" lists, you won't see Anaeho'omalu Bay on those lists (or the Waikoloa Lagoon). The Westin Hapuna recently underwent a major renovation (when Westin bought it, not sure when that happened). We stayed at the Westin Hapuna in Sep 2018 on SPG points, and it was simply fantastic.
