I told them they need a new license plate haha. Car barge running well, got groceries, and unloaded our stuff at the house.

If you prefer to rent on St. John you take the passenger ferry over. The passenger ferry takes 15-ish minutes and the car barge takes 25-ish ( it’s just slower). The island is safe to explore on your own.
