Weekly maint used to wipe my bases in the past, but then I roll back to the last save and everythings back. Presently on my server me an my crew have four bases across the map, and the oldest one has been there for two months now. By the way, last week's server maint did not wipe our bases, so persistence is improving.

The servers got overwhelmed so it's not necessarily that it got wiped, least not wiped intentionally but that it simply crashed and you can't access it. Bohemia only owns the Official servers, so they control when they wipe it and not. They have absolutely no control or say over player run dedicated servers that are on the community server lists. If you tend to play on community servers, this isn't a problem you need to worry about. In 2021 the roadmap indicated we would have a server wipe roughly every 3-4 months "in an effort to breathe fresh air" into the game. Items despawning means a typo in typs.xml or yoy didn't add bbp items to it or some bbp setting. I'm guessing you didn't add bbp items to types.xml. when you add a mod, items are available to craft and spawn with admin tools, but they don't have proper attributes like lifetime. 1. Idk if they have "clusters" on dayz but I do believe you'll have a new character for each community server you try. At least it is that way on console. Community servers seem to be wiping on the 18th (Thursday). I'd imagine they must have had some kind of heads up, would be pointless to wipe a day or two before update.
As far as I'm aware, official servers share the same character but reset your location to combat server hopping among other things, private servers has one character per server. Private non hive DayZ severs will be a fresh character each time as since its not hive only the server you played on will have your character file. The same will be true with Livonia.
