We want to share some of the history of this little mountain town that was once a popular vacation destination and how it became a source of inspiration for our Farragut restaurant. Our name ties into the Wonderland Hotel that was in Elkmont in the 1930s, and people got there from the railroad located in West Knoxville. The Elkmont Campground is one of ten “frontcountry” campgrounds in the national park. It’s the closest located to Gatlinburg – about twenty minutes away on Little River Road.
