Currently I have a semi-decent mage setup that has a yeti sword, and I lcm/rcm. Rcm with yeti sword works well in basic kuudra but it gets harder in hot tier and pretty much impossible in burning tier. Not to mention that people hate the yeti sword in f7 for some reason even tho its good only...

Mage will be painful progression and takes a lot of coins. My advice is progress to F7 as berserker (maybe archer at later lvls) then switch to mage when you have hyperion. Without a hyperion you will not get parties on F7 or above.
