I use both Fidelity (cash management / brokerage acct) and TD Ameritrade / Schwab (self-directed work 401k). Fidelity’s interface looks better and has more features but it’s slower. TD Ameritrade’s site looks a lot more basic but is significantly faster. Think or Swim is really cool if you’re a trader.

I cannot speak to the quality of Charles Schwab, but I can speak that Fidelity is alright enough for me. That being said, Fidelity customer service is top notch and I can attest to it. Both fidelity Schwab have great customer service imo. I love fractional shares on fidelity. But I like Schwab UI much better.
