I'm thinking a 21 feels real close to a 30sf after you add the Pearce to the 30. The 30s (not sf) probably kicks harder because of the lighter slide. Typical tradeoff, lighter carry weight and more recoil.I carry both, the G 38 will have a grip the same width as a G 19. The 8 round mag for the G 38 holds 9 rounds and is a full length grip. The slide is thicker, however than that of the G 30S. OI carry my G 38 more than the G 30 or 30S. Out of the box (which is GLOCK's usual foam-lined, hard-plastic offering) the 30S comes with two 10-round magazines that extend past the bottom of the grip and have a built-in grip extension. The grip itself is that of a Gen3 30SF (short frame), which makes holding a double-stack .45 caliber pistol more manageable for shooters with smaller hands.

The 30's internals R stock. I did replace the original G 30 recoil rod w/my OEM recoil rod from the G 36. Since I know that recoil rod is virtually new.:tequila:I just got off the telephone with Glock USA. I'm in the process to purchase a NIB Glock 30 sf.
