Chevy malibu cranks but wont start.

2013 LT No Crank No Start. Tried to install an amp in my gf's 2013 Cruze LT today and now it won't start. I didn't finish the install, never even hooked the positive amp wire to the battery terminal. Car wont start after I ran out of gas. Take off the smaller wire off the starter motor. Put the key in the start position and hold it there for a few seconds. Listen for the fuel pump running. If you hear it running then it feels like it stopped, then let go of the key and reinstall that wire on the starter motor.
