I have been watching you-tube on how to test a stator but the ones that they are testing in the video has 3 wires and my stator has 5 wires coming out of the engine. 3 wires that go to 1 Plug and the 2 other wires that go to another Plug. I'm assuming not use the Plug that has 2 wires.My understanding is to test between 1-2 1-3 an 2-3 yet looking at the specs I see 1990-on 2 stroke except 400 w/200 watt alternator yellow/red-yellow=.3 ohms and black/red-brown/white=120 ohms although that only gives me 2 readings not 3 as I’m supposed to make 3 tests at connector.Jan 18, 2023 · Connect the leads of the multimeter to the stator terminals picking two pins at a time, such as 1 and 2, 2 and 3, and 1 and 3.
