As Cotaks stated, if you kill the parent or tame them you can then imprint on the baby and raise it just like if you bred it yourself. It's a fairly easy way to get a tame without using narcotics and tranq arrows and traps. Kill the parent and then imprint the baby. For example, if an imprint usually give 10%, setting this multiplier to 0.5 means they would now give 5% each. While setting it to 2.0 means they would now give 20% each, etc. hud. Imprint is always usefull. For example take giga, baby is born with 18,19k hp and 800 meele, when u make 100% imprint adult will have more than 35k hp and 950 meele. I would assume that if the hatchling were imprinted to a rider, it would get whatever bonus was given.
