I have a Kubota L345dt with a 4 cyl model V 1501-DA, I hold the glow plugs for 30 second then turn the starter but it does not catch right away so I keep pushing it with the starter. It wants to go on its own but after a few revolutions it stalls and I get what looks like a mist/black smoke, I have to do the glow plug and try it again ...

My SKid plate was jammed against the linkage so the safety switch would not engage ( only on the reverse side of the pedal was blocked) I removed the skid plate and it started.Connect one end of a jumper positive cable to the nut on the side of the starter where the big wire connects.
