I never checked, but for whatever reason I assumed there were backup sensors since the car has cross-traffic alerting. While it does have the reverse camera, I'd like to add the RAB system just for the reverse sensors. It might (probably) need the ECU to be programmed to support it, but the cost for all the parts is only ~ $220.

It comes up with an "i" info notification on the display as soon as the car turns on, and the SRH disabled icon stays on the entire trip. The SRH switch is set to ON. I tried cycling it off and on again with no effect.

If they can't replicate the problem then they can't fix it, but if they can't fix it then depending on your State, lemon law may be applicable. If they can't fix it then contact Subaru of America at 1 (800) 782-2783 to express your concern about the steering. Maybe Subaru knows something that the Dealer doesn't.
