Apr 24, 2022. #1. What are you guys seeing for DEF usage and regen frequency on the 2022 6.7? I just turned 2700 miles on my 2500 Laramie and added 2.5 gallons of DEF which bought the gage to 3/4 full. I'm now recording time and distance between regens but it's done at least 4 times in the 2700 miles.
Defeating the insert depth safety is not a good idea (how far the nozzle is inserted/resting into the filler neck). To expand on this, Ram/Dodge did a POOR job of making the filler neck angle. This results in people putting the nozzle spout in very shallow, allowing for the fuel to back further up the neck, closer to the entry port.There is most likely a crimp or blockage in the filler tube. This is the tube that leads between the fill pipe and the tank. You may need to remove the tube and tank or replace the hose so you don't have slow filling problems. The other possible problem is that there sometimes is a second valve a little further down the filler neck. If the valve isn't fully open and fuel is backing up to quickly the pump will shut the handle off each time as a safety.
