Duramax ticking noise.

I noticed a very slight ticking noise when I test drove it, but it was so slight that I wasn't worried about it. I've put 800 trouble free miles on it in the last two weeks, but the tick gradually got louder over the last two days, and today- got loud enough that I got under the hood to look for what I thought sounded like an exhaust leak.

2019 Chevy Duramax L5P Ticking. Engine has a pretty loud tick when I first start it up, sounds like it’s coming from the drivers side but it’s hard to determine. When at idle (in park or drive doesn't matter) there is a loud ticking noise coming from what sounds like drivers side rear of engine. It is only at idle as soon as throttle is given it goes away. At first I didn't think anything of it but it keeps getting louder and louder.

While picking up my camper, I hear the infamous ticking noise. One year ago, I had the water pump replaced due to a service bulletin. I thought it was the water pump starting to fail again.
