Also, at that point, just find a save that wlll work. You can test out settings by starting the new map and checking the achievements UI on the top right side. If spoon is locked, you changed something you shouldn't have. I know you can disable expansion, and reduce pollution diffusion to 0 and still get no spoon.

A slightly larger investment in belts and assemblers and inserters is not going to be very important. Michael Hendricks has a No Spoon on Default Settings guide that manages it in 6-8 hours with 45 science/minute for red/green/blue (5/6/12 tier 2 assemblers) with even less for the yellow and purple science at the end.

Still impressive of course, but the guys doing a similar time fully live with no importing of blueprints are another level. If OP did do it in this real time as a first attempt they should absolutely record a time they'll be closing in on nefrums and franqly in no time.

Playthrough like I was going for there is no spoon, but don't worry about missing. Don't remove anything, just go. No reworking with new tech, even the original burners are still there. Go back through and hand optimize things, but using only things in nearby sections (I.E. if surrounding area has red belts , only use red belts.)
