Man.. I was hoping to find some method of improving this mag release button. Just like many say, it works but I have to change my grip in order to release it. I grabbed this dagger lower until I can get my hands on a good P80 lower. Stiff on mine. I measured the mag release spring with a micrometer and it was .0505.

Jul 9, 2023 · I doubt the issue is the OEM Glock 17 magazine… I think we can strike that one. That leaves the PSA Dagger, or the Brownells mag release. Maybe I got a mag release that slipped by QA/QC. I doubt it is the Dagger – the pistol worked fine with the mag release that came stock on it.

Now, when inserting a mag, the mag gets hung up and stops about once in every three insertion attempts. I know it’s not 1:1 but having used an airsoft gun with the left handed release, it was nothing but issues. It was too much slack in the ambi button causing mags to constantly drop out.
Jul 10, 2023 · Took it apart, checked everything, put it back together. Same issue. 100 mag inserts, 50+ catches. Put stock PSA mag release back in, no issues. 100 mag inserts, zero (0) catches. Either PSA design is an issue, or Brownells sent me a cheap Chinese knock-off. Why someone would knock off a $5 part, I have no idea. But hey, I’m just the messenger.
