Oh definitely, similar in tone but not the same. Much more comedy and the drama is usually more overt. I’d say it’s pretty similar to Mad Men season six. The drama and stakes are super high but in regular conversation the dialogue is much snappier than early Mad Men. For the first 3-4 seasons Mad Men was written super subtly. For example, A&E shelled out $2.6 million per episode for reruns of HBO's mob drama "The Sopranos" and the show performed poorly.
