Reshade breaks a lot in ffXIV, needed a lot of effort, and the ui was worse and harder to customize. Like 4 months ago went back to Gshade after my like 6th install of reshade breaking presets. Looked into it and the bad actor was long gone and was working fine so I gave it another try.
Download the .zip of IpsuShade with ReShade folder names through the link above. Historically people switched from Reshade to Gshade because Gshade was easier to install and had some features that only were usable on Reshade with a lot of hassle (like depth shaders), eventually Reshade made that easier but by then everyone switched to Gshade and generally people were happy until the recent shitshow, but current iterations of Gshade and Reshade are basically the same. Dark areas are nearly pitch-black. This Reshade pack is made with an HDR monitor in mind, however, the screenshots will be representative of how it will look on your screen. A 4K monitor is also recommended due to the sharpening effects working better on high resolutions. Using this preset, FFXIV runs at 105fps at 4k on my RTX 4090.
