I recently purchased the Bodyguard 380. From initial impressions, it's a good firearm. Actually quite accurate for a 2.5" barrel, and I was impressed by the smooth cycle and reasonable recoil for a firearm so small. Hello, I purchased a new model 617 about a month ago. Having only owned/shot Smith CF revolvers, I was very disappointed with the trigger pull weights, both SA & DA, as it came from the factory. The DA pull was off the scale on my spring gauge, but estimated to be about 9 1/2#. The SA pull was 4 1/2#.

Subsequent New Model #3's could be special-ordered with the spur but can be distinguished by the "Moderate knuckle" on their own …
The two guns have very different trigger and grip safety systems. The 1911 has 3 different length triggers avaliable, as well as 2 different main spring housings, (arched or flat) and different width grips, all on these can be used the custom fit the gun to your hand and trigger finger length. The model 67 was introduced in 1972 at around serial number 2K55997. The full serial number is found on the butt of the grip frame. You will have to remove the grips to see it.
