Hawk helium stick mods.

The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days. The ropes also "slide" up and down on the tree easier once the stick is set so you can make a small adjustment here and there if necessary.Dec 30, 2020 · FYI - If you use a Harken 150 or Schaffer 70-17 you will need at least 2.25" hardware to mount through a Hawk Helium stick. I measured and figured I had about 1/4" of threads with a 2" bolt but it didn't work out that way. If you make your own spacers be sure they are the right length so the rope binds as you put weight on your steps. I am using 7mm rope.
