How to reset cards on anki.
The "type" for the card can be edited at any time to add additional cards based on notes of that type. It will apply retroactively to all notes of that type, creating new cards as necessary. So check your cards to see what type they are and consider adding a 2nd card that shows the reverse. Look at the types to get an idea how this works.

It already means you've lost your progress. And pressing "hard" when you don't know a card is only good for deluding yourself. It's not going to help when you take that exam, or when you need to recall that information at work. If anything, it's going to give you a false sense of knowing your subject matter.
