Apples to apples. I bought the new Phase 4 which I thought shot a lot cleaner, felt a lot more crisp and definitely had a more solid back wall. I really liked the bridgelock accessories with the Mathew's as well. Hoyt's draw cycle was a lot smoother though. 70lb vs 70lb but the Hoyt felt like you were pulling 60 or lower. Three bows I shot were Mathews lift 29.5, Hoyt Alpha X 30, Hoyt RX-8 30 inch. Both Hoyt’s where 70.1 lbs at 28.5dl measured. Mathews was 72lbs with 28 mod (measured 28 3/8).

Whats best would depend on what you are after. I have probibly shot 50 different bows since buying my Mathews DXT. To this day I have not found anything that comes close. It just fits me. Someone else may be lookin for something diferent from their equipment so a different bow would be a better choice. Good thing we have so many great choices.
