I hooked up my scantool and looked at misfire data and noticed it was only on cylinder #3. From there, I swapped the coil from cyl #1 and #2 with the one in #3 and the misfire still showed on cylinder #3.Ok the most common issue is the mass air flow sensor has failed, This adjusts the air fuel ratio and when these fail it will cause your issues. It can also be excessive carbon build up as well as needing a simple tune up. This is what needs to be done to properly diagnose and fix this issue .The check engine light came on an it has two codes P016B, and P0172. It has intermittent rough idle, hesitation while driving and hard starts. The oil smells like fuel.
