I personally use the meta raw set: 3 teostra, 2 raging brachy, with max agitator, crit eye, WEX, crit boost, etc. Insect glaive doesn't really have many special skills only it wants like great sword or gunlance, but some skills you want to try are: power prolonger, airborne, and slinger capacity (the latter is really really personal preference).
