More than I wanted to spend, but the only company that makes them specifically for the C&C trucks and plus I like the idea of the added flow of the intake horn.

yup. Its probably a connection problem with the wire that plugs into the board behind the light. try and clean the plug. Had this in a '99 IH with ISM. Turned out to be the water temp. sensor. Thanks for the information. The 2 wire sensor is the intake air temp sensor. The 3 wire sensor is the Boost pressure sensor. Thr boost has nothing to do with the intake heater. The other sensor is the coolant temp sensor. It is located in the top of the block on the drivers side.
