This week Hope the Mission opened a regional state-of-the art kitchen in the community of North Hills in the San Fernando Valley that is capable of producing 5 million meals for the poor each year. Because there is only one mobile shower unit to service the entire San Fernando Valley,in fact, they are the only one in the entire City of Los Angeles, the Rescue SOS team is limited to providing showers for only 20% of the 1,500 men, women and children they serve and accommodate each month.
