This time, we booked a campsite at Fallen Leaf Campground which is north of Fallen Leaf Lake. It was far away enough from the busy area of South Lake Tahoe that it felt serene and quiet. We bought firewood from the nearby 7-Eleven near Camp Richardson, but you can also get it from the General Store if it’s open.
