To make a long story short, the G30 quickly became my favorite Glock. My test sample never went back—I sent a check to Glock and bought the darn thing. It was to be the first of a series of compact Glocks in .45 ACP. The Glock 30S is a hybrid gun between the Glock 30 and the subcompact G36. It gives you a thinner, sleeker 10+1 G30. Here it is between the tiny Springfield XD-S and the regular sized Glock 30. The gun comes with 2 10 round magazines. The Glock 30 subcompact pistol currently in production is Gen4. Production of the Gen3 version of the G30 was discontinued in January, 2014. The Glock 30S and Glock 30SF are Gen3 only. Have the 30SF, 30S, 19, 26, and a 21. The 30 grip with 10 rd mag feels best. In live fire I find either 30 variant more controllable and accurate vs the 9s or the 21.
