The needle seat has a small screen and it was plugged only letting a small amout of fuel into the bowl. Most of the jets were clear but I still used music wire and air to clear any blockages.

Thanks. my left hand brake switch was shorted to ground causing the same 30 amp fuse to blow, so make sure to check the switch as well as replacing the harness. be patient when disconnecting connectors they can become quite brittle. OK, so I've got a used main wiring harness on the way for $37.
