Size and build The work area that you get is 32-¼" x 32-¼", which is 2-¼" more on each axis compared to the X-Carve. I have the X-50 woodworker and so far I’ve been really happy with it, machine is super solid. The linear ball bushings and ball screw setup is imo the best setup amongst the hobby machines. Ball screws offer better rigidity, load ratings, accuracy and repeatability vs belts. Choosing the base is probably the hardest part of the setup.And crucially, will mill 7075-T6 Aluminum reliably at a reasonable pace. And I mean really mill not just engrave. What I’ve been doing is. I will start the machine up, and then home it. Everything will home fine. I then move and center the router over the project, and hit the zero button for both the x, and y axis. I will then place the probe I purchased from One Infinity and attempting to zero the z axis.
