It seems like volatile flow is an enhanced version of the echo and is better because its a seasonal mod. The two conflict with each other and instability overwrites the mod for time. Kinda sucks right now but after this season ends and least we know volatile rounds will stay, even if its only for 9 seconds

From what I've noticed, it seems that you only get anti barrier rounds when you pick up an orb, so basically when you proc volatile from volatile flow.
